Marvin grew up in High Prairie, Alberta. Prior to moving to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, Marvin was a truck driver and rancher. In 1978 he graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction. In 1981, after completing his LLB, Marvin moved to Barrhead to begin his legal career. He articled with the law firm of MacCallum and Ritter. In 1982, he was admitted to the bar at the Barrhead Courthouse. In addition to practicing law, Marvin farmed and raised cattle for 25 years.

Marvin has experience in a wide variety of practice areas, although he now focuses primarily on corporate, real estate, and wills and estates.

In his spare time, Marvin appreciates a good game of golf, and was previously an avid hockey player. He also enjoys reading, music, and vacationing in Kelowna.


Megan was born and raised in Barrhead. After high school, she moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. In 2008, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Education with distinction, and earned her Juris Doctor in 2012. While in law school, Megan was involved with the Annual Student Law Show, both as a committee member and as an actor. She volunteered with both Pro Bono Students Canada and Student Legal Services. Megan also served as the Chief Tribune of the University of Alberta Students’ Union Discipline, Interpretation and Enforcement Board. In 2011 she also represented the University of Alberta as part of the Corporate Securities Moot Team at the annual national competition in Toronto.

Megan has been called to the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta. She has decided to return to Barrhead to practice with her father. She will be carrying on a general solicitor’s practice.

In her spare time, Megan loves to travel and is always looking for new places to explore. She also enjoys reading, theatre, and spending time with friends and family.
