Megan was born and raised in Barrhead. She attended the University of Alberta, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with distinction in 2008, and her Juris Doctor in 2012.
Megan has always been an active member of her community. During law school, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Student Legal Services. She also served as Chief Tribune of the University of Alberta Discipline, Interpretation, and Enforcement Board, and in 2011 represented the University of Alberta Law School as part of the Corporate Securities Moot Team.
Megan continues to volunteer her time with a variety of different organizations. In 2019, she was a short term election observer with CANADEM for the Parliamentary Elections in Ukraine. She is the current president of the Barrhead Chamber, and also serves on a variety of different committees with the Canadian Bar Association and the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association.
In her spare time, Megan loves travelling and reading.
